The Sitting Bull College Library serves as both a college and public library. We loan materials to members of the local Standing Rock area and provide interlibrary loan service as well. The library has books, books on cassette and CD, videos and other materials. There is a special collection of Native American books, videos and other materials in the library. There is also a large children’s collection. We also serve as a Census Information Center to provide access to Census data for the Native American community.

Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday - Closed

Borrowing Privileges

Sitting Bull College Library is a Public Library serving all the residents of the Standing Rock Nation. Local Residents, as well as students, faculty and staff of Sitting Bull College may check out materials from the library. You need proof of your current address to check out materials.

Materials checkout times:
Books can be checked out for one month.
Videos for one week.
Periodicals only with permission from a librarian
Restrictions: People with overdue materials on their records may not check out more materials.

Do Not lend your books or other library materials to anyone else… you are responsible for those materials.

Computer Use

The eight computers in the Library are for students and residents of Standing Rock to use for research, projects and email. Please limit your time to 30 minutes so that others can have access to the computers.
